Where's my money going?

Earth Optimist Club provides free instruction through partner outdoor companies and non profits such as New England Science and Sailing, Westerly Recreation Department, Rock Spot Climbing Gym, Paddlesurf RI, Yawgoo Valley Resort, and more. We negotiate rates with these companies that allow as many of our students to attend programming as possible. Large donations/grants allow entire programs to be built around certain schools/programs (ie NESS 'Explorers Club' with Stonington Middle School, Rock Spot Climbing gym field trips with Westerly Middle School youth, Yawgoo ski camps, etc.). 

Our average cost per student for an unforgettable outdoor experience roughly translates to $50/lesson. These rates vary from roughly $40-70/lesson depending on the activity. All of the proceeds from our fundraising currently go directly to cover the cost of student programming. All current admin work for EOC is volunteer work.
